Many Christian parents feel the burden of wanting to train up their children spiritually, but are continually disappointed at the lack of depth offered by many children’s Bibles and devotional guides. Basic Theology for Kids is a tool that will not only assist parents in sharing theology with their children, but it will strengthen their understanding along the way.

Areas of focus include: God, the Bible, angels, demons, Satan, humanity, sin, Jesus Christ, salvation, the Holy Spirit, the church, and future events. The appendixes also include a glossary of new terms, a lesson on how to memorize scripture, as well as a list of resources for parents. A total of 52 lessons–one for each week of the year. (72 pages).

Basic Theology for Kids was written by the father and son team of Steve and David Lucas. Steve served as a pastor for nearly 18 years. He holds a Masters in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Bachelors in Biblical Studies from Piedmont Baptist College. Steve spent nearly a decade in ministry focused on children and teenagers, and presently serves as the President of The Brook Ministries, a ministry dedicated to equipping and refreshing pastors from throughout the Americas. Steve is married, has four children, and one grandson.

David Lucas is an active and articulate teenager. He holds a first-degree black belt in Freestyle Martial Arts, and enjoys singing, acting, sports and video games. He has a deep passion for God and volunteers weekly in the children’s ministry at his church.
